Selection of plastic raw materials commonly used in plastic moulds
Details:
1. ABS: High fluidity, low cost, suitable for parts with low strength requirements (not directly impacted, not withstanding structural durability components in reliability testing), such as internal support frame (keyboard support, LCD support) and so on. There are also commonly used in electroplated components (such as buttons, side keys, navigation keys, electroplated decorations, etc.). At present, Chi Mei PA-757 and PA-777D are commonly used.
2. PC+ABS: good liquidity, good strength and moderate price. It is suitable for parts with high rigidity and high impact toughness, such as frames, shells, etc. Commonly used material code: Bayer T85, T65.
3. PC: high intensity, high price and bad liquidity. It is suitable for shell, button, transmission rack, lens, etc. with high strength requirements. Commonly used materials such as: L1250Y, PC2405, PC2605.
4. POM has high stiffness and hardness, excellent fatigue resistance and wear resistance, less creep and water absorption, better dimensional and chemical stability, good insulation and so on. Commonly used in pulleys, transmission gears, worm gears, worm, transmission mechanism components, etc., commonly used material code name such as: M90-44.
5. PA is tough and absorbent, but it becomes fragile when the water is completely evaporated. It is often used in gears, pulleys, etc. It is necessary to add filler to key gear with larger impact force. Material code: CM3003G-30.
6. PMMA has excellent light transmittance. It can still penetrate 92% of sunlight after 240 hours of accelerated aging, 89% outdoor for 10 years, and 78.5% ultraviolet light. High mechanical strength, a certain degree of cold resistance, corrosion resistance, good insulation, size stability, easy to form, brittle quality, often used in a certain strength requirements of transparent structural parts, such as lenses, remote control windows, light guide, etc. Commonly used materials such as MITSUBISHI VH001.
